Some theory for beginners

I would like some recommendations for theory that aren’t particularly dense. I’m trying to educate myself better about class consciousness. I’ve previously identified my ideal political party as democratic-socialist. However I found out the exploitation this causes the global south. I’ve slowly come to realize that capitalism always creates victims and would like some “marxism for idiots” if there is such a thing . I’m a former union member (lost due to covid) and I really like communist ideals. I’ve read some stuff recently like 1984 and animal farm. I have dyslexia though so reading Marx is difficult as fuck for me,(maybe it’s the translation?) Thought I’ve recently studied some conflict theory in sociology and it is the only ideology that makes sense to me. Any suggestions welcome please don’t bash me I’m not dumb just not the best reader of heavy texts. via /r/communism https://ift.tt/3duJ2p2
