Don’t get me wrong. I fully support my non-binary and gender fluid brothers and sisters, but I don’t understand the idea of there being genders other than male and female. How I see it is: you can be male, female, neither, or varying degrees of both. As a pan dude who is pan for a reason that’s a bit personal (not that I chose it, I’m just not comfortable with sharing the specifics of my attraction), I sometimes feel guilty for not believing in genders completely separate from male and female. Considering pansexual is a sexuality some people may ignorantly consider “made up,” I wonder if I’m being hypocritical to only believe in certain levels of the spectrum, but not the whole thing. Could all y’all help me out with this? I thought this might be the place to ask.
