Hello r/pansexual
I'm u/wmpyle, and am one of the oldest mods on staff here. Over the past week, there have been a number of events that have happened that I'd like to discuss and provide an update on.
The sex cult, and frequent posts about a clear pansexual ring. There have been a lot of posts recently about a pansexual ring and where to buy them. What started out as a fun and prideful way to display our sexual identity was clearly appropriated by a number of people. As the weeks have gone by these posts about pan rings have been cropping up all over the place. A number of the newer mods (the ones who changed the sub icon, banner, name, bio, rules, and made posts about how the mod team had abandoned the sub and they were coming into save it) believed that the old mod team were the ones behind the posts; or were actually abducted or taken advantage of by the posters of these rings posts. Both of those claims are widely inaccurate. All that happened was that during the past 15 days many of the mods were tied up in the holidays, travel, semester starting/ending for school, and a number of personal life events. These things, unfortunately, came together in a coincidental way to make it look like a large number of the mod team left at the same time. Rest assured everyone is back and things are under control!!
Secondly, it was then stated several times that the old mod staff (me and the other older mods) had purposely left the sub to sit and did not care about what was going on. Neither of these claims are true and the (old) mod staff is hard at work cleaning the sub back and hoping to put it in an even better place moving forward!
