So after reading up a little on the role the collectivos have played in resisting the coup attempt in Venezuela and the degree to which they are empowered as an autonomous military wing (https://ift.tt/38BX9VK) it seems they were indispensable in defending the bolivarian revolution. Does this represent a new development in leftist strategy or thought? Or are there analogues in past demsoc regimes?To be clear I’m a Marxist and seriously doubt the degree to which democratic socialism can work but am nonetheless curious about developments in the field. via /r/communism https://ift.tt/2vdx2WD
