For a school assignment I need to write a research paper in reaction to a prompt. The prompt is the following: choose a 20th century historical development that has shaped the American society in which we live today. Analyze the historical development to determine the manner in which it has shaped our society and evaluate its legacy as it relates to the present and future of our nation.
