as someone whos not studied economics in any serious capacity in the US I find it pretty hard to understand what exactly an individual company/corporation does, and even in the case of those companies that we know to be obviously integral to the bourgeoisie it can be very hard to get beyond the doublespeak on their websites or in the financial section of any paper basically.I'm wondering if any comrades have the same issue and what readings might be recommended to be able to make those connections between the functioning of the contemporary western political economy and the role of individual business conglomerates? extra points if you can connect that to the tech world too and really outline the implications of each major tech development...for those whove read das kapital do you feel like the comprehensive outline of capitalist political economy offered enables you to understand most specific corporations' role in the modern era? via /r/communism https://ift.tt/2sQacnj
