What to say to friend who’s grandparents were part of the Cuban Capitalist Class that had their wealth redistributed?

So I have a close friend who I was talking with earlier today and I mentioned that I’m a socialist and she mentioned that she doesn’t like Communism, so I asked her why and she said something along the lines of, “I hate communism because my grandparents used to be rich and then Castro took over and they were basically poor and homeless after that and that’s why they had to move to America”So I genuinely don’t really know what to say in any way, like I don’t want to make things awkward by supporting Communism, but obviously I’m still gonna support Communism because it’s the right thing to do but I don’t know how to explain that to her or anything.Has anyone else experienced anything like this or just have any general advice? via /r/communism https://ift.tt/2NOJQJu
