My mother and I were both born in Russia. We have lived here in the United States for the past 23 years. Coming up my mother would have now lived in the United States longer than she lived in Russia. My mother is also history nut. She knows Russian history the same way that you get anyone in your local historical society knowing US history. For me to write an interview is relatively easy for an outsider. I have questions that I want answers to I ask those questions I get those answers. This is a little bit more difficult when you kind of already know many of the answers. So I present my mother to you so we can answer questions and dispel myths that revolve around communism.I am aware that the USSR "is not a real communist country". But I have this asset and this person that I can talk to and get the answers that many people may not meet in their lives. And I hate to break it to you, there are many things that communism is just simply not good at. And it may take someone to live through the system to really tell you that. There are also things that the United States needs to make changes and can take inspiration from countries like the USSR.So what are questions that you want to ask someone who knows their history but also lived through history? via /r/communism https://ift.tt/3jWcYfL
