Studies done by the Levada Center show that a majority of Russian citizens regret the collapse of the U.S.S.R. If this is the case, why does Vladimir Putin have overwhelming support from voters than that of the Communist candidates?

Vladimir Putin has even said that the fall of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical disaster of the 20th century. Is he just paying lip service to Russian citizens yearning for a return to Soviet times or is he really only referring to the loss of power of Russia following the U.S.S.R collapse? via /r/communism https://ift.tt/3bUghRE
