How do you counter the incentive argument for menial labour?

I understand that for educated jobs there is incentive beyond the financial gain in forms of the love for the work, willingness to contribute to society in a helpful way etc.But how would you explain it for unsatisfying and hard labour such as road repair or working in a factory to process foods like chocolate or operating a garbage truck?I've done some construction work and the like before and, maybe this was just because of shit pay but I never found it fulfilling or had any incentive to wake up that early to do it outside of having some money to spend. via /r/communism https://ift.tt/35T4puG
