I joined PSL - now what?

I joined PSL. I guess. I signed up online and it basically meant that now they send me their newsletter. No organizer ever reached out to me. There hasn't been any events in the past month.I follow leftists in my area, and there's protests every day in the city. I'm scared to go because I'm alone. I don't have very many communist friends. Feels unsafe to go without a support base.I mean, I live in Seattle. Pretty liberal but I know there's some communists here. What would you do in my situation?
