Is it possible the new President of Bolivia is compromised?

I was reading an interview with him where he said austerity measures would likely have to be taken. And that morales will have absolutely zero role in the new government. And that the lithium is up for trade for any nation who “treats them as an equal partner” (this is obviously targeted towards the US)And I read this interview not long after reading about alleged leaks about a 1000+ western backed mercenary fighting force stationed in Bolivia just before the elections.Is it possible that he was threatened by this force and is now bowing to the US? I guess time will tell.
