Regardless of your ideological standing, a lot of people on the left have been struggling with severe problems, be they related to their finnance, mental health, race, etc. I notice that for many, going through these difficult times is the reason for their radicalization--they understand how pecarious an individual's life could be, and how capitalism is determined to make it worse. They stop taking things for granted, in short.Conversely, conservatives and other loonies always seem to argue from the assumption that they are the winners who have gotten to where they are now by their merits alone. And if they are not the winners, well, that is neither their fault nor the inherent feature of capitalism. There is always these "shadow cabals" or "Jews" or "immigrants" who steal from them. This, coupled with their lack of empathy, make them into selfish and reactionary individuals. So, what do you think of this opinion? Do you fell like the vulnerable moments in your life have a hand in your radicalization? via /r/communism https://ift.tt/336QYHG
