Where to Begin?

As many of you, I am a young, angry student tired of the dysfunction and greed of our society and want to become more active in the communist community in the United States. Unfortunately, I just don't know where to begin. Communism is treated as such a disease in this country that it took me until recently to understand the processes and ideology, but now that I do, I wish to become involved.I would very much appreciate it if any of you can help me on my path. Are there organizations I can join aimed at becoming active in the community? I've done research on some of the major parties in this country (CPUSA, Party of Communist), but I know that the parties here are small and, in my opinion, seem divided. Any books you all recommend? I've read Marx and Connolly, but haven't really delved into Lenin yet.In accordance with Rule 1, I am already a Marxist. I know what my goals are. I know the amount of young people in this country who are suddenly opening their eyes to communism is growing, but I still feel there is a lot of work to do."We believe in constitutional action in normal times; we believe in revolutionary action in exceptional times. These are exceptional times." -James Connolly via /r/communism https://ift.tt/2UOIf9p
