Hey comrades, I'm in search of an analysis of the Napoleonic Wars from a historical-materialist perspective. It seems like a period which would be rich in class analysis. To my surprise, Marx and Engels, who rose to prominence only 30 years after its end, seem to have published nothing analyzing this turbulent, transformational event. It seems like the qualitative change of the capitalist nation-state putting a stake into the heart of feudalism in western Europe, the culmination of centuries of quantitative change (primitive accumulation and the rise of the bourgeoisie.A marxist perspective on the decline of the French Revolution, and the rise of Napoleon Bonaparte, would be appreciated as well. via /r/communism https://ift.tt/3bqqTpz
