Yo. So awhile ago I abandoned altogether all mainstream political perspectives. I decided instead to take a short hiatus, read shit and reevaluate my previous positions IOT figure out where I stand. I've read a lot but in regards communism I've so far read:Communist Manifesto - Karl Marx The Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte - Karl Marx Theses on Feuerbach - Karl Marx Wage-Labour and Capital - Karl Marx Value, Price and Profit - Karl Marx The Principles of Communism - Friedrich Engels Socialism: Utopian and Scientific - Friedrich Engels The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State - Friedrich Engels Imperialism: The Highest Stage of Capitalism - Vladimir Lenin The State and Revolution - Vladimir Lenin Anarchism or Socialism - Joseph StalinPrior to reading these I used to have a bias against Marx. That he was was economically illiterate, was an authoritarian etc. However, after reading these I've gained an appreciation of the intellectual insight of him and his intellectual contemporaries. However, despite my new found respect of his theory, I still find that my sticking point isn't in theory but in practice. I understand that in accordance with Marxist doctrine no nation has as of yet fully implemented communism. Why? Is there any literature available as to why communism hasn't been fully realized? Thank you in advance. via /r/communism https://ift.tt/3bFHKoi
