I am having trouble really getting into Deng.

I personally I think that China it's not the example for socialists to follow. Over the past year-and-a-half I've been seeing more and more people be Pro China. I Am pro China myself but not to the point of saying it is an example of socialism for the modern left to follow. I'm just having a hard time understanding why people believe such. I have even read that Mao Zedong, someone I have huge respect for, did not completely trust Deng as seen in: https://ift.tt/2Dxglqe Li (December 2008). "Socialism, capitalism, and class struggle: The Political economy of Modern china". Economic & Political Weekly.I also believe that Mao became more reactionary later his life so some may argue that way. I do believe that Deng at least helped pave the way to what China is today, a world super power, but some things like health care privitazion really turn me off, https://ift.tt/2q9zQlw, https://ift.tt/33IbnkR, W., 2010, Disparities in Health Care and Health Status: The Rural-Urban Gap and Beyond, In One Country, Two Societies: Rural-Urban Inequality in Contemporary China, Cambridge MA: Harvard University Press.Zheng, X., and Hillier, S., 1995, The Reforms of the Chinese Health Care System: County Level Changes: The Jiangxi Study, Social Science & Medicine, 41(8), 1057-1064.I'm just having trouble why people are holding up China as a shinig example of leftism instead of just stopping at solidarity and combating lies. via /r/communism https://ift.tt/2sAYRqK
