I wanted to tell you, comrades, of my experience of being openly Marxist in HS.

Good evening comrades, I wanted to tell you guys my experience of trying to be open about my beliefs. To provide some context, I'm a Jr in High School (Secondary School). I've been studying Marx & Lenin for about a couple of years now. I was open about my beliefs. There were pros and cons to this. To start with the good, I've met a fellow comrade at school who has taught me a lot more about theory then I can ever learn by myself. I would have never met him if I was not openly discussing Marx. Another good that came from it was the people who got to agree with me. I started a local Leftist group where people who share my beliefs can join and learn about Marxist theories. Here comes the bad. I'm often tolerant of people, in turn, people are usually tolerant with me (There's always that case of that liberal). One night, I had an argument with a lib. (One who openly supports the Hong Kong movement) I wrote an argument on discord basically defending Marxism. (I have to write my arguments out because of it easier for me to express myself through writing) I wrote a couple of paragraphs about this. This caused up a Sht storm. First, they didn't even read it. Second, more people got involved calling me a rtard, Idiot, & Stupid. Just think of all the arguments a Lib would say they said. To be honest with you comrades, I gave up. I wanted to keep going but I've learned in the past if something boils over, you need to turn off the heat. Now, I'm not a Marxist in public anymore. I can't read books at school because of the libs. (I read at theory at school because when I get the board in class, I have that to read.) I wanted to post this as a way to give my experience out.If you have any stories, please share. Anyway, comrades, hope you have a good day or night and long live the revolution. Edit: This might help. Most of them were sophomores. I don't hold it against them. via /r/communism https://ift.tt/2DKqZd8
