Don't know if this is what belongs here but I need to vent. I am a 14yr old pansexual, and for some reason the 14yr old part of that invalidates me. My family is not straight up anti-gay, but it is not something I ever bring up around them. My brothers think that having an LGBTQ+ sibling gives them the right to say homophobic things and say f*gg*t. My mother constantly tries to find excuses for me to actually be straight. When I told her some people I like(ed), she would always try to show how that crush shows I'm straight. I told her I liked this girl, and obviously she said that makes me straight. I told her I like a trans boy, and she said that he used to be a girl so maybe that's why I like him. She finally shut up when I told her I liked this cis boy and it was enjoyable to see her face. The only one that doesn't give a crap (in a good way) is my father. Sorry if this post doesn't belong here, I just needed to get this off my chest. To any other LGBTQ+ teens reading this, you are valid, it is not just hormones.
