Goals of Communism

I'm in the process of learning about Socialism, and these three goals of Communism were brought up during a discussion in my class. Just a heads up, my teacher is very conservative so there might be some bias. He essentially said that capitalism actually carries out what Communism claims to achieve. What do you guys think?1. Economic Equalitya. Results of CommunismEveryone is equally poorBreadlines are commonPeople own virtually nothing but the clothes on their backsDestroys the incentive to work hard and to be creativeThe government owns all businesses, transportation, land, housingb. Results of Free-Market EconomyCreated in the USA, the largest prosperous middle class everHard work, talent, creativity, etc. are rewarded by the free-marketStores are stocked with plenty of food and other goods with a wide variety to choose fromFreedom to succeedFreedom to fail2. Political Equalitya. Results of CommunismOnly those with power in the Communist Party have political powerElections are fixed, right to vote is a shamb. Results of Free-Market EconomyAnyone can run for officeThe people can place their own issues on the ballotYour vote actually matters3. A Government of the Peoplea. Results of CommunismThe people are governed by the PartyOften (usually?) there is only one candidate in the election, so only one choiceb. Results of Free-Market EconomyElections are held every two years for Congress, every four years for president and every six years for senateThe elections are real and contested via /r/communism https://ift.tt/2UF54NZ
