Hi. So I’m wondering if there are any marxists out there who are also vegan and can explain in their view how the two interconnect and overlap (if at all) in any way. About a year ago, I had a psychedelic experience with mushrooms and I couldn’t help but see Marxism and veganism as not just moral and just positions (especially in this current moment of society) but also the most practical and rational positions. I know Marxist ethics isn’t overly concerned with “morality” as it is viewed to be a class character, but even morality aside I find the two views extremely similar in practicality as well. I also found that the psychedelic experience allowed me to see the patterns of society and social behavior so clearly that being a Marxist and a vegan only became more solidified positions through the psychedelic experience.
