Can anyone well-verse in history please explain to me the origin of "Puritan ethics"? I heard that all the time in discussions about the American Dream. The only thing I know about the Puritan was that they were so extreme and racists that they were kicked off England.Also, is this "Puritan ethics" the same or has equivalences as with other branches of Christianity.
