From the little I've read, Stalin and Trotsky were 2 very different people. Both of them pretty influential, but with marked differences. While Trotsky was the brains behind quite a few of the party's endeavors, and most probably better than Lenin and Stalin in terms of raw intellect and thinking, what he lacked was the convincing power that Lenin and Stalin had.We all know what followed after Lenin died and Stalin took hold of the helm. Perhaps the events followed would have been quite different and communism as a whole would look very different (I think) today if Trotsky had succeeded. What are your thoughts on this? via /r/communism https://ift.tt/3cpqEfh
