If you're looking for a good read about Chile under Allende, check out "Allende's Chile" by Tanya Harmer.

I'm a history major in college, and I took a class this semester on the Cold War in Latin America. One of the assigned readings was a book by Professor Tanya Harmer called Allende's Chile & the Inter-American Cold War.As a Marxist and as someone who didn't know a whole lot about Chile's history, I found it really interesting and rewarding. I suggest checking it out! It provides really interesting perspectives on how Chileans (on both the left AND the right) felt about imperialism and how that motivated them. It discusses Castro's involvement as well as Nixon and Kissinger's.TLDR: If you're looking for a book about Chile under Salvador Allende or would like to read about new perspectives on imperialism, give this book a shot. via /r/communism https://ift.tt/2VL9GBi
