American imperialism will lead to the destruction of us all

As Martin Luther King, Junior said over five decades ago, “the United States is the greatest purveyor of violence in the world,” and it still rings true today: direct imperialist violence against Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan, Honduras, Libya, Syria; and indirect violence through the deeply brutal, illegal sanctions on Cuba, Venezuela, Syria, Nicaragua, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and more. These acts of violence, torture, and war are not because of any concern for “human rights” or “democracy,” do not fool yourself. These acts are to secure the financial and geopolitical interests of the elite class abroad: they have nothing to with you, your safety, or your class interests (if you are working class, that is).Because of the falling rate of profit with monopoly capitalism at home, the elite class has sought to increase profits abroad (shipping jobs to China, Mexico, etc), de-industrializing the nation’s Midwest. The capitalist class will go to extreme lengths to secure their financial interests and profits abroad, using the national security state to pump out disinformation through the media on targeted states, manufacturing consent for war (which the working class fights, never the capitalist class). And these elite forces just can’t stop. The drive for profit will not stop. When the vast majority of wealth on Planet Earth is held by a tiny fraction of 1% of the population of the most powerful nation on earth, it is always “more more more more more” and if a nation, leader, or political force has even a shred of independent politics, it will be destroyed (just TODAY, for example, the US sanctioned a Mexican company for shipping WATER, yes water, to Venezuela). The American imperialist drive for profit and geopolitical control will lead to the next world war or extinction event (or, if we are lucky, both). Mark my words. via /r/communism https://ift.tt/2YgkIAU
