when was the last time you were seriously challenged by someone pro-capitalism?

if there’s one thing reddit’s taught me it’s that there are plenty of people ready and willing to spout the same tired critiques of communism without actually providing any kind of substantive arguments in favour of the system they’re so quick to emphatically defend. i don’t remember the last time someone actually challenged a point i’ve made in complete earnest.i don’t remember the last time i had my economic or social politics well and truly challenged, let alone shaken, by someone with an opposing view. hell, i’ve just had an economics graduate respond with basically nothing but mere insults in response to something i said another bezos exploiting his workforce. no insight, no counterpoint, no “here’s wot i learned in my degree”, just personal attacks and “lol ur a marxist”. it’s truly bizarre.i’m curious to hear whether or not this is a shared experience, or am i simply not hanging out with the “right” kinds of people? at this point i’ve read enough theory to be pretty set in my ways so i’m not looking to have my mind changed or anything, i’m just a bit surprised by how little substance there is in the pushback i so often get. via /r/communism https://ift.tt/2XDHanf
