I'm trying to make a timeline of modern history (circa 1850- present) with a global cause and effect perspective. Does anyone have a critique or addition to the events I have chosen or any suggestions of authors perspectives I should include?

I'm hoping to create a timeline of the major events of modern history and put together a collection of excerpts that reflect the vastly different perspectives of that event. So far I'm gathering excerpts from South American, European, Soviet, African, Southeast Asian and American authors, having to do with the cold war. Next I'm hoping to do WWII and so on. So far I have:Industrial revolution1869- Suez canal and transcontinental railroadRusso-Japanese WarWWIThe great depressionWWIIThe space raceThe Cold warReaganomicsFall of Berlin WallCollapse of USSRInternetArab SpringI only have time to cover about 4 or 5 Major events, I'd really appreciate some help narrowing it down. Also, does anyone have any recommendations of global authors, preferably writing first-hand, about any of these issues. Thanks! via /r/communism https://ift.tt/3kkpciW
