My closest friend doesn’t believe pansexuality is a good term to use to describe your sexuality. She believes that pansexual falls under the bisexual spectrum by definition, therefore pansexuals should say they are bisexual. She also knows the history of the term pansexual and believes it’s offensive to still use it. Me and my boyfriend tried to explain that the term is no longer used in a biphobic way, and is simply a more specific term to describe someone who is attracted to all genders without preferences but still under the bisexual spectrum. I simply am asking, do you agree? Whatever your answer is please explain I’d love to hear what others have to say about it :)
