Need some help on information about communism and socialism during thanksgiving with the in-laws

I hope this is a good place to post this I’m not really sure but I could use some help from some comrades. Long story short I was at thanksgiving dinner with the in-laws. I’ve been learning more and more about communism and socialism and all the propaganda BS but I’m still a novice. We slowly got into many topics and my father in law mind you is a big “know it all”. He thinks he knows everything and is right about everything. He challenged me finally after a while of debating to give him sources to things I was saying so he could “read” them. Below imma post some stuff that was discussed and was wondering if you guys could help? ThanksStalin was not directly responsible for starving millions of peopleMarxism’s goal is not to strip the power from everyone so that Marx or whoever is instilling it will ultimately be the supreme ruler.Venezuela’s issues today is not because they went socialist.America does in fact intervene in the affairs of socialist countries and mess things up all the time. The CIA is big on doing this and the CIA is pretty dam corrupt.The coups in Bolivia are not because of the US and the over throw isn’t being backed by the US.Socialism and then ultimately communism is not about “gimme gimme gimme I want free while you work” it’s about letting people work what they want to but if they don’t we will still provide essentials to keep them alive like housing, food, water, healthcare.The top billionaires in America worked hard for what they have and deserve every penny and they are not exploiting workers to make more profit. It’s also super risky for them and they are taking the risk of running these companies so they deserve the money they get. Also they spend the most taxes by far and shouldn’t be taxes more because it will force them to let off workers so we little people get screwed by them being taxed more.There was probably more but I’m going to start reading more stuff. It’s so sad how manipulated people are and their opinions and the common arguments you hear but it’s hard on the spot to argue against them and get to a capitalist.
