My family is catholic, except me, so they all have really strong views about sexuality and gender and my dad and my aunt were talking about how everything has gay or lesbian relationships in it now and how that was wrong and other stupid crap. So I said, like and idiot, that everything has heterosexuals in it how would you feel if you weren't represented. I then was yelled at the entire way home from practice about how "it's not right, people who like their own gender are disgusting" or "there are only two genders" and "asexual people don't actually exist" and "being gay or queer is a mental disorder"
And this one, the one that scared me the most, "if a girl thinks she's a guy or likes another girl, she should just off herself and go to hell" those were my father's exact words.
So yeah, reason number, idk, 273 why I'm never going to come out.
