I’m trying to clear something here-
I’m a dude who was into another dude knowing that he’s openly pansexual. As far as I know, he’s been in relationships with only women and when mentioning going on dates he’s always said “she” when talking about the other person. Plus on social media he’s all about simping for the female celebrities with heart emojis and gifs of the like, but never with the males.
I asked him out and he wasn’t interested. I played it cool and didn’t make a big deal about it, just moved on. However, for a while I became very insecure about my looks and wondering why things couldn’t work out. Normally when I crush on a straight guy, I can get over it quickly because zero chance. But knowing he’s pansexual, I thought maybe something could happen with technically being on his playing field, and it makes you feel worse about yourself.
It’s not my business to ask about his preferences, but I am working on trying not to make the disinterest seem like it’s all about my appearance and my personality. Like perhaps it’s more about a gender preference?
Sorry if this seems like a shit post, I’m not trying to cause any trouble, but I’m trying to move past this as best as I can without me being so upset on what I could have done wrong.
