Pacific Island Communist Theory

I'm interested in learning more about ML movements and theory/praxis centered on Pacific Islands, particularly Polynesia and Micronesia (which I understand are imperialist constructs). I've read a little about the IWW and CPUSA being active in labor movements in Hawaii, but I'm wondering if anyone can refer me to other theorists or activists, particularly ones more involved in indigenous movements and anti-US/anti-Japan national liberation. Many of the theorists and organizations I've found that work on Hawaiian Sovereignty and decolonization on the South Pacific seem to find their basis in bourgeois liberalism, so hoping for anything with a Marxist foundation.
