Would you, as communists, prefer that people rise up with arms in your defense in examples of gov't oppression (i.e. Portland?)

Basically the title, I've seen quite a few memes about gun-owners, libertarians not standing up for citizen's rights in the face of tyrannical governance, and I'm more curious as a left-leaning centrist, what the stance is. Isn't one of the key practices in a marxist society the disarming of the citizens in favor of arming the military?Legitimate question, I'm not trying to be reactionary, just curious via /r/communism https://ift.tt/3g9lyGx
