I’m a girl and I like my friend who is a girl. She likes girls but I don’t want to ruin our friendship if she does not like me back.

We have been friends for a very long time but recently I have been having feelings for her and I don’t know what to do. I am really scared that if she does not feel the same way that our friendship will be ruined. She likes girls which is good. I just need some advice.
